Controlling the fans is simple and easy and the sliders have a great solid feel to them even though they are gloss plastic. The entire controller casing is plastic with the controller circuit board being more ridged and metal. The entire controller comes with 2 molex power connectors to power this device and all cables are nicely labeled and per-connected.
If you use LED based case fans like I did the controller will control the LED power level slightly. I love that as I drop the power to case fans to minimum the Blue LED fades only slightly, and its a nice touch on the Corsair Blue LED fans.
Using the controller is simple and easy and also fits well into my tool less drive bay and is very secure. The LED feature is bright but not over powering which is very nice.
The controller has a matte finish which will match any matte finish cases, while the sliders are gloss black. It stands out and is a nice look but just be aware that the controller is more matte in finish.
Overall solid product, came well packaged, and had everything needed for install. Recommended over more expensive products.
The front LEDs are nice, the blue looks perfect with the rest of my build. It also has a very nice white, red, green, and orange, as well as having an off setting (you wold hold the LED button down for a few seconds). The LED button isn't the most quick to respond thing, I have to hold it for a tiny second for it to switch, but that's no issue.
The cables are very long, they could easily run through a full sized case, probably with a bit extra. All the plugs for the fans are labeled with the number they correspond to on the front. The plugs are only 2-pin, but can fit 4-pin PWM fans. The controller adjusts power, not straight RPM, so if you have LED fans, you can notice they get slightly dimmer as you turn the speeds down.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their computer quiet, and adjust speeds on-the-fly.
Other than that one issue this thing is great. Probably my most favorite component on my PC to date as I'd already fit the maximum amount of fans on my case but did not want to stay dedicated to software controlled fan support and went with this analog approach. The dream of running a dead silent computer is much more effective with this controller as the voltage can reduce the speeds down as low as 40%, and then crank them up all the way to 100% to turn your PC into a turbine of cooling efficiency. I actually wish I could have had a 25%, or even a 30% reduction as its lowest RPM setting but this is fine.
The beauty behind this controller is its simplicity. While a touchscreen LED is cool, it's too much for me. There are other fan controllers with knobs and sliders but oddly enough they run around the same price range while having access to less sliders/knobs on them. Outside of that range and you get a bunch of other features on them I personally wasn't looking for or desired. I actually am not utilizing all 6 sliders on the controller, leaving #'s 4 and 5 unused, but it's nice knowing I have the option to them whenever I want. Also, due to the nature of my case, the controller sits vertically inside its 5.25 bay as opposed to the typical horizontal position, meaning I use the sliders left and right as opposed to up and down. This is actually ideal for me because now I know that gravity won't come in as a factor in affecting the sliders moving up and down should I have to readjust the sliders and pretty much wear them down from however much use I utilize them. I'm not too sure on the actual quality or longevity of this product's sliders since I just recently installed this thing and started using it but I imagine it has to hold up pretty well considering the rave reviews this thing has prior to my own observations.
LED functions are great too. You have 5 colors to choose from, White, Blue, Red, Green and Orange. So if you have colors associated with them to complement your build, know that you have that option. You can also turn the LEDs off completely if need be by holding down the button you press for choosing the LED color for about 5 seconds. You also hold it down for 5 seconds to turn them back on if need be.
A fair bit of warning before getting started on this thing: there is a menagerie of wires to deal with. Unleash them from their twist tie confinements and you have quite a bit of length to deal with so plan accordingly on the lengths you actually need and then reuse the twist ties to tidy up. Having some cable ties on hand is not a bad idea either and probably preferred if you have a fixed idea on how much length you'll actually need to use from this controller, otherwise you will virtually have a spaghetti's worth of wires to deal with, making the process pretty confusing even though the fan adapters themselves are all tagged with their associated sliders, Fan01, Fan02, etc., etc. Deal with that and you're pretty much set with a simple, effective fan controller. The voltage regulation also affects certain fans with LEDs on them, which is cool to watch the lights dim brighter and brighter whenever I crank up the speed and then see them dim back down to a subtle glow when I put them back to the lowest setting. Makes the whole process feel more interactive, very cool.
There really isn't much else that needs to be said about this controller. Though I am personally disheartened that I got a controller that I had to do repairs on myself, aside from that this thing is pretty solid so far. I enjoy the fact that now I don't have to have a constant whisper of air rushing through my case until I really need it, such as in the case of overclocking or a heavy dose of gaming, where then I can just move the sliders to their respective speeds. Hell, thanks to this controller, the loudest thing in my room now is an external harddrive that sits next to my computer which I got years ago and can be heard from its constant spinning while active.
Personally, I would buy this fan controller again if and when I build another PC with fan regulation, but I hope the next one I get doesn't come with the curious quality I had to deal with and hope no one else has had to deal with either. Better luck next time I guess, but this thing is definitely a must buy for any person looking for an effective fan regulation solution.
I don't use my desktop much (let alone adjust my fans much) and it worked fine for a while then one of the knobs stopped working unless it was wiggled and then one day I had internet radio playing and I left the room and the controller died cutting off all my fans and almost overheating my entire system. The same Scythe model seems to be sold under a different name lately.
After researching various controllers this one looked to be solid quality and it fits nicely in a case that has a door that covers it. Other ones used knobs that stuck out too far, this one uses a graphic equalizer style slide band. It also has a button that adjusts the color of the LED lighting so it can match your case lighting (blue, red, etc). It was packaged quite well, installed & fit nicely and seems to do the job well.

Pros:
Control up to 6 fans individually
Takes up useless 5.25" bay
LEDs to match the colour of your system (in my case red)
Super easy and simple to use - the higher the slider the faster the fan and the more noise it makes
Girlfriend doesn't complain about the sound of my computer anymore (but Blue Cherry MX keys are next so...)
Cons:
White LED doesn't exactly match my case (Corsair Spec M2)
Extra wiring (for 6 fans) that you have to manage
