Switching to all split systems for central heat and ac. looked for the best buy from a company I felt woulkd back their product. This unit (22,000 btu) seems to be well made. I was surprised to see it ran on only 14.5amps. Both the heat mode and the cooling work well. The unit is quiet even though it is mounted on the inside and outside of the living room wall. No vibration or compressor noise thru the wall to the inside, NONE AT ALL. This surprised me as I have been working on ac units for 40 years. I guess the inverter control is a big plus. The unit was easy to install and held a vaccum with no problems. After tightening the flares I moved them at the joints to check for failure but they seem to be sturdy. I pulled a deep vacuum one day and left the system for a few days before opening the valves. The vacuum was holding and I checked for leaks after opening the valves. No problems here. The guy who did not pull a vacuum will loose efficiency and shorten the life of his system. leaving moisture and O2 in a sealed system is a death wish especially with an explosive gas like R32. If you don't have a pump or fitting to match they are sold on Amazon and most tool places or you could probably borrow a pump from a good auto supply. I'll ad to the review after a heating season has passed.

I got this for an 1800 square foot garage. Installed by myself in about 3 hours not including running conduit and pulling wire for the supply. Hung it high on an exterior wall with brackets sourced elsewhere. Pulled a vacuum, opened the valves, and started right up. Where I'm at it's fall in the morning and summer in the evening this time of the year, so I was able to use both AC and heat and both work perfect. Because I'm a geek I measured the amperage at full heat to be just shy of 10 amps and full cool just over 6 amps. I used 12 gauge wire but could easily run it with 14 gauge. At 50 degrees F outside the indoor unit is measuring 110ish degrees heat.

I bought this to add to my bedroom. The instructions were very thorough with lots of installation tips, which was great because I had never installed it myself before. This is a quality product that is built to last. Once installed, the unit is very quiet inside and out, runs fast and efficiently. The product has great features and can't wait to try it out.

This unit is very responsive to changing from air to heat. It keeps my garage at a comfortable temperature per my settings without any type of strain on the unit. Time will tell once the summer heat arrives but all is well currently. The only downside is it needs better instructions on the different modes and functions.
