Wonderful Sleep!

Recently diagnosed with OSA via Watch Pat One on Lofta.com. I elected to upgrade from a CPAP to a BiPAP due to my preference for breathing comfort. Overall, I am very happy with my experience with Lofta and Resmed. Specific to the machine, it has a nice form factor and is very quiet in terms of decibels. My one neutral position regarding the machine is the water dispenser which tends to spill if you aren't super careful with filling the reservoir and exactly balancing it. O recommend always filling the reservoir with distilled water while it is laying on a flat level surface rather than hand filling due to the high risk of spilling water all over the place. I paid for the Lofta extended service plan which has been a literal lifesaver since Lofta R.T.s can remotely adjust the Bipap Pressure, Humidity and Heating settings. My A.H.I. levels have reduced to near zero which is a huge success! Additionally and most importantly, I feel much better both cognitively and fatigue-wise after wearing the BiPAP the entire night. I elected to purchase the heated tubing which I recommend as well as eventually adding the memory foam pad to the Air Touch F 20 Full Face Mask. Truthfully, I struggled with keeping the mask on with the standard mask cushion and would highly recommend immediately upgrading to the memory foam cushion. I do still get redness and some pain on the bridge of my nose, but will try adding a gel nasal bridge device to see whether this discomfort can be decreased or eliminated. The machine is simple to use once you understand how the settings can be adjusted via the touch screen. The MyAir App is a nice addition to the machine as it tells you how you are doing in terms of keeping your mask on and whether your AHI is rising, staying unchanged or decreasing which is the overall reason for wearing a BiPAP in the first place. I like that the machine adjusts to my inhalations and exhalations and that it attempts to open my airway by providing pulses of air that are a just annoying enough to remind me to breathe while sleeping and resting but not enough to wake me up. I paid 100% out of pocket for the device and maxed out my HSA account in the process but I am glad that I did because it is a nice machine. I had to increase the humidity settings to 6 as the lower settings caused me to wake up with dry mouth. Don't pay attention to the price, the machine is worth the price and you could get a second job or start a side hussle to pay for it if needed.
ResMed is the Best

I swore by the Philips Respironics DreamStation 1 and 2 that I owned prior. They my told me it was time to upgrade my device so I requested another Philips. I had a ton of Philips supplies and the machines were always good. They instead sent a ResMed AirSense 11. I complained a bit before being told they no longer carried Philips machines. I grudgingly tried the AirSense 11 and immediately fell in love with it. It was much more quiet, much better for breathing with EPR, less leaks, more user control on the machine, better mobile app, and the ResMed mask selection was far superior. The only area that ResMed was inferior was the humidifier chamber. Most important to me was the EPR settings which adjust pressure on exhale vs inhale. This impressed me enough that I had my doctor write a prescription for a BiPAP and I bought the AirCurve 11 out of pocket. Wow! Being able to set ePAP and iPAP and put a bigger gap on exhale vs inhale is incredible. Breathing is so much better now and my sleep is very deep. Couple that with the ResMed AirTouch memory foam masks which allow me to relax the tightness on the headgear and I get the best sleep ever. I'm finally entering REM state and experiencing dreams again!
This machine has massively increased my quality of life

I finally decided to look into sleep apnea because was waking up 2-3 times a night and I found myself falling asleep daily anytime I could. I had zero energy. My sleep study showed severe sleep apnea, so I was prescribed this bilevel machine.
The first night I used this I slept 9 hours straight. It was the first night I’d slept through in close to 2 years. I’ve used this every night for two weeks now, and I’m happy to report I no longer wake up during the night, my oxygen saturation is where it should be, and I do not struggle to get through the day anymore. I am so grateful for the relief! I messed around with the humidity and temperature settings one night and got rainout, so I went back to the auto setting. That combined with the heated tube is just perfect.
I started with a full face mask, the ResMed F30i because I assumed I would need it. As it turns out, when I have enough oxygen I don’t breath through my mouth so I switched to the nasal mask, the ResMed N30i. That mask is even more comfortable and my average AHI is now less than 1 per hour.
This machine is easy to use and when paired with the right accessories, can massively improve your quality of life.
Don’t walk away from the Website… RUN!

I bought the CPAP machine as part of a bundle. Along with it I bought the water tank so that I would have to fill it with distilled often. I followed the instructions to get everything set up but within three days the entire system had failed. I tried multiple times to reset it but no luck. When I reached out to this company to get a return on all the items which cost me over $2000, I was told the tank was not returnable at all, and they would look into taking back the CPAP machine. When I complained that there was no purpose in keeping the tank if I didn’t have a CPAP machine to go with it, the customer representative merely copied and pasted part of the earlier response about the tank not being returnable. I then mentioned that the tank was doing this strange spraying from one of the tubes inside the machine. Since it had come all put together that way, I just assumed for whatever reason that what was it supposed to be doing. However, when I mentioned this to the rep, she they all of a sudden decided that I couldn’t return the products at all because my USER ERROR with the tank nulled the CPAP warranty and I’d have to reach out to the manufacturer despite the 30 day return guarantee on these items. so I’m basically now out of $2000 and have to take my valuable time to deal with not only one manufacturer but to two see if I can get my money back. there are dozens of websites where you can buy these machines. This is not one of them.
