[Rewarded Review] Awesome clean air
Dazy· Review provided by walmart.com · August 7, 2022
My Homedics total clean pet plus 5 in 1 tower air purifier in medium is super highly effective and really makes a difference in your Breathable air. I was super excited when I was offered the opportunity to receive the Homedics total clean pet plus 5 in 1 tower air purifier in white for no charge for my honest opinion, and I’ll start by saying you should go buy one. It arrived quickly and well packaged and in perfect condition. Upon opening my box took it out of the plastic bag took a few pieces of the tape off that held it securely in place and plugged it in, it has three speeds the first one is whisper quiet the second one medium fan speed and the third speed is power packed a little bit more noisier but the thing I tested is,I placed my air purifier on the ground and at all three speeds the air reached the ceiling that would be 70 inches from the top of the air purifier, even the lowest speed you could feel it all the way to the ceiling. Now I would have to say the highest, third speed it had power the breeze hitting the ceiling and air flow movement, I was super impressed. I’m also quite impressed with the filter itself it’s made Very efficiently and well thought out, I cooked some fish and it was hot outside so the windows were closed and the Air conditioner on. So I turned on the homedics total clean pet plus tower air purifier and the fish smell is gone it’s just gone, it’s like I never cook the fish, wow. I like the fact that you can either leave the setting lights on or if you need a nightlight or as I prefer you can turn all the lights off to have total darkness, that is my favorite. I highly recommend a Homedics total clean pet plus 5 in 1 Tower air purifier. Prior to receiving this one, I had MacGyver a filter on a box fan granted it was a really good filter, but it didn’t do as good as the Homedics tower especially with smell plus it has the UV-C and the Ionizer and it takes up less space. So yes it is definitely worth it. I also checked out the UV-C bulb in the unit wanted a visual with it working and also to test how easy it is to swap them out. I was able to easily unscrew inside bottom and as the instructions say put your fingers on the outer edge and kinda of like slide towards you and it turns and it pops right out and it goes right in easy, so just a heads up to how easy it is to replace the bulbs. The timer is pretty cool, you don’t have to overrun the unit you can set The timer and it will automatically turn off. The Homedics total clean pet plus 5 in 1 tower air purifier in medium is the total package just think what a large could do. A great gift idea for the holidays or a great baby showers gift.
[Rewarded Review] I can already breathe better!

I have the Homedics “Total Clean Pet Plus 5-in-1 Air Purifier” and couldn’t be more pleased with it. It comes with super easy-to-follow instructions for both setting it up and maintaining it. There’s also crystal clear information on where to call if I have any problems or questions! The five aspects of the 5-in-1 technology are as follows:

1. The already installed prefilter captures pet fur, hair, and larger particles.

2. The 360 degree True HEPA Filter (high efficiency particulate air [filter]) removes up to 99.97% of airborne allergens as small as 0.3 microns.

3. The Carbon Filter reduces pet and household odors and “VOCs” (Volatile Organic Compounds… or, basically, chemicals in the products we use).

4. UV-C Technology (an ultraviolet light that neutralizes microorganisms) reduces bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungus in the air.

5. The Ionizer assists with particle removal.

There is also a tray where you can add your favorite essential oils! There are three different fan speeds, a timer, a nightlight that you can turn on or off, and the ability to turn on or off both the UV-C technology and/or the Ionizer. You will DEFINITELY want to read the instruction booklet to understand the pros and cons of each of these technologies.

Also, please be sure to read the precautions about using essential oils around house pets.

This purification system changes the air in a room up to 266-square-feet every 12.5 minutes and I especially love that it is super quiet while it’s running.

The filter that comes with the unit is expected to last 12 months under normal use and you can take it out and vacuum it regularly to keep the unit functioning optimally.

This air purifier comes with a 3-year limited warranty.

I absolutely LOVE mine. I have three highly shedding dogs and, due to some surgeries over the past year, I haven’t been physically able to keep up with the regularly needed vacuuming and dusting (and have had a return of asthma symptoms as a result)… in just a few days of using this purifier, I am already breathing better!!! Needless to say, I am one happy customer!!!

Since we live in a climate that is cold for several months at a time this was something we needed. Even in the summer it is generally so hot out we do not always have the windows open for long periods of time either. This has made the living room air so much nicer. My living room is 12 x 20 ft and there is an open doorway directly to the kitchen leading to the back part of the house. Since the air flows so freely from one end of the house to the other I have noticed a big difference in the kitchen and the back hallway as well. This totally eliminated smoke and dusty or stale air very quickly. I am totally thrilled and impressed.

The controls are simple buttons on the top. You have your on/off button, three fan speeds that you toggle through by pushing the button multiple times, Ionizer on/off, uv-c on/off, a timer button that has four settings (2,4,8, & 12) hours that you can at any time turn the timer off by pressing the timer button until the led's are not lit, and the nightlight button. Without a time selected on the timer it just runs in regular mode until you turn it off manually. The nightlight is pretty neat it lights a ring around the entire diameter of the air purifier. It does not take up a lot of room, it is about 22 inches high by 8.25 inches wide.

One of my personal favorite features is the oil tray. It is a small pull-out drawer that holds small pads for using essential oils. I immediately ordered lavender oil so I could test this out because I love lavender scent. The air purifier came with three oil pads and doing the research they aren't costly to get more. The instructions say to use 5-7 drops of oil on the pad (use more or less according to preference) which easily fits in its space in the oil tray. I noticed on low fan speed the scent isn't as noticeable so medium worked well for me when I really wanted to scent the air a little quicker.

It comes with a nice instruction book that also shows you how to do a monthly little vacuum clean of the inside HEPA Filter which it does recommend replacing every 12 months with normal usage conditions. We do have a cat so this should also help dander in the air as well. It also recommends how to clean the bottom of the oil tray that the pad sits in too.

All in all, I am very happy with this is already notice such a good improvement in the air quality inside our house! I would definitely recommend it!
[Rewarded Review] Removes odors & allergens, and circulates air too

The medium-size Homedics air purifier appears to be roughly 2 feet tall. (The top is slightly below the tabletop of the card table in my kitchen.) This was very easy to set up, as all I needed to do was to remove it from the box, plug it in, and read the "quick-start" sheet to learn which button on the machine's top does what. Despite its size, this air purifier is quite light, and I was easily able to lift this one-handed by the built-in hand grip on the side. There is a slide-out tray for adding essential oils to a removable pad (3 are included), and I chose to put a few drops of oil of cloves on the pad (which makes the entire kitchen smell like I'm baking or roasting something spicy). I haven't quite figured out just how the UV-C option works yet (would it sanitize my smartphone if I put it on top of the air purifier?); however, I have tried the ionizing option (negatively-charged ions are supposed to improve the air purifier's effectiveness at removing allergens from the air -- BUT the ozone used in this process may be harmful to small pets, so I might turn the ionizing option off for my dog's sake). The air purifier also operates as a fan (with 3 different speeds), which will be especially helpful at keeping my kitchen comfortable to cook in during the hot summer months. And the odor-removal function will help prevent whatever I'm cooking from stinking up the house!

My spouse has issues with hay fever pollen every summer, and most of my family is allergic to dander from visiting cats, so this Homedics air purifier will be a useful addition to our home. Recommended.
