Since its debut in 2022, Le Sserafim has lived up to its slogan of being "fearless" through its strong performances and musical concepts. And with over 1.2 million followers on Twitter, 4.4 million followers on Instagram and 9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the K-pop girl group continues to make its name known. 

The group released its highly-anticipated first studio album "Unforgiven" May 1, with a title track featuring four-time Grammy winning guitarist and producer Nile Rodgers

Who is Le Sserafim

Huh Yunjin,  Chaewon, Kazuha, Sakura and Hong Eunchae of Le Sserafim.

Le Sserafim (pronounced Luh Serr-uh-fim) is a five member girl group under Source Music, a subsidiary of HYBE Corporation. Comprised of members Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha and Hong Eunchae, the group debuted with the single "Fearless" in 2022. Le Sserafim is the first girl group launched by Source Music under HYBE, whose labels are home to many artists, including BTS, Tomorrow X TogetherSeventeen and NewJeans.  

The group's first EP "Fearless" debuted at No.1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 13 countries, including in Japan and Indonesia. Le Sserafim's second EP "Antifragile" brought the group's first entry on the Billboard 200 chart, hitting No. 14. "Antifragile" also debuted at No.3 on the Billboard Top Albums Sales chart. 

Since debut, Le Sserafim has won several awards including Favorite New Artist at the 2022 Mama Awards, Rookie of the Year at the 2022 Asia Artist Awards, Rookie Artist of the Year at the 2023 Golden Disc Awards and Rookie of the Year at the 2023 Seoul Music Awards. 

Le Sserafim was also named among the "K-Pop Star to Watch" for Billboard's K-pop issue

  • Chaewon (Full name: Kim Chaewon) Born Aug. 1, 2000 in Seoul, South Korea.
  • Sakura (Full name: Miyawaki Sakura) Born March 19, 1998 in Kagoshima City, Japan. 
  • Yunjin (Full name: Huh Yunjin) Born Oct. 8, 2001 in Seoul. 
  • Kazuha (Full name: Nakamura Kazuha) Born Aug. 9, 2003 in Kochi, Japan.
  • Eunchae (Full name: Hong Eunchae) Born Nov. 10, 2006 in Miryang, South Korea.

"Unforgiven" is a hip-hop and funk rhythm track that samples the main theme song from the 1966 Western film "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." The album reached 1.38 million pre-orders, a career high for Le Sserafim.

"UNFORGIVEN is our message to the world that we will together walk down the path we think is right, and we are not asking for forgiveness on the way from anyone in what we believe," said the group's leader Chaewon at the "Unforgiven" media showcase on May 1.
