This 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Is An Example Of The ‘Reverse Restomod’

Restomods have surged in popularity in recent years but this Chevrolet Camaro is a little different. In fact, it could be more accurately described as a reverse restomod.

Listed up for sale from Post Oak Motor Cars and available through eBay, this is a 2010 Camaro SS that has been designed to mimic the look of the first-generation Camaro. It is rather bizarre and has a $39,950 asking price.

Adorning the exterior of the Camaro is a simple shade of Summit White that has been contrasted with Inferno Orange accents, including race stripes running over the hood. It is also sitting on a set of 22-inch Asanti forged wheels that have been custom painted to match the car’s exterior finish and are wrapped in 265/30 front and 295/25 rear tires. The previous owner of the car then had it equipped with the Retrokit RS bodykit from Lingenfelter.

This kit starts at the front end where the standard bumper and headlights have been removed and replaced with a grille and light array just like the original Camaro, while the shape of the bumper has been revised. The bodykit also includes extended side skirts and a distinctive rear end with a striking diffuser and a large lip spoiler on the trunk lid, whereas the rear bumper includes retro-inspired chrome trim.

The interior makes just as good of a statement as the exterior. Adorning the front and rear seats, door panels, and part of the dashboard is bright red leather. Helping to tone down the red is black leather on the seat bolsters, transmission tunnel, and the remaining dashboard surfaces.

The eBay listing doesn’t make any mention of performance upgrades made to the car but we can see that the 6.2-liter V8 has been outfitted with a Mammoth supercharger from Kenne Bell.
