Indian e-commerce giants Amazon and Flipkart have started their annual sale, offering huge discounts on many popular smartphones and other electronics like earbuds, headphones, smartwatches and tablets. If you want to buy a tablet, here are some of the best deals you can get your hands on during the Amazon Great Indian Festival and Flipkart Big Billion Day sale.

Xiaomi Pad 6

Launched earlier this year, the Xiaomi Pad 6 (review) is one of the most value-for-money tablets in the mid-range segment. Powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset, the device comes with an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz and Dolby Vision support.

The Wi-Fi-only tablet runs on MIUI 14 f based on Android 13 out of the box and comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Xiaomi Pad 6 comes with a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and an 8,840mAh battery that can be charged at 33W.

However, the Xiaomi Pad 6 misses out on a fingerprint scanner. If you are looking for a tablet to watch movies, browse the internet, play games and do some work but are on a tight budget, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is an easy recommendation for the asking price.

The base variant of the device, which comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is available for Rs 23,998 without bank offers, but if you can spend a little more, we recommend you go with the 8GB+256GB variant, which can be purchased for Rs 25,998.

Festive offer

Apple iPad (9th Gen)

Looking for a cheap iPad to browse the internet or watch content on the go? The iPad 9th Gen might be a good choice. Featuring the A13 Bionic, a chipset that originally appeared on the iPhone 11, the 9th Gen iPad comes with a 10.2-inch IPS LCD screen and runs on iOS 15 out of the box.

The device sports a 12MP selfie camera that should be enough for video calling and an 8MP rear camera for taking photos on the go. However, the internal storage is on the lower side and the iPad does not support microSD cards, so this might not be the best option if you want to install apps and play games.

While it is not the fastest or best value-for-money tablet, if you are looking for a cheap Apple device, the 9th-gen iPad might be a good choice. The 64GB Wi-Fi-only variant of the device can be purchased from Flipkart for Rs 25,999 without offers at the time of writing.

Lenovo Tab P12

Launched earlier this year, the Lenovo Tab P12 (review) is a mid-range tablet that comes with a 3K 12.7-inch LCD screen. Running on near-stock Android 13 out of the box, the device is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7050 chipset, which is a bit slower than the Snapdragon 778.

On the back, you get an 8MP camera that can record videos in 4K at 30fps whereas the front of the tablet packs a 13MP ultrawide sensor for video calling. Similar to other tablets in the price segment, it has a quad-speaker setup tuned by JBL.

Apple iPad Air M1 (2022)

Launched in March last year, the iPad Air is powered by Apple’s in-house developed M1 chipset, which can be found on devices like the previous generation MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.

The tablet comes with a 10.9-inch IPS LCD screen and runs on iPadOS 15.4 out of the box. The front of the device packs a 12MP camera with ‘Centre Stage’ support and comes with Touch ID and USB Type-C for charging.

The only downside is that the Apple iPad Air M1 (review) has 64GB storage, which might not be enough if you plan to watch movies, play games or store documents. If you can live with the storage space and want a powerful tablet that can easily handle everything you throw at it, the iPad Air M1 is an easy recommendation. The 64GB Wi-Fi-only variant of the iPad Air M1 is available for Rs 45,998 on Amazon.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8

The Galaxy Tab S8 is one of the fastest Android tablets available right now. Featuring an 11-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, the Galaxy Tab S8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

The back of the device packs a dual camera setup that consists of a 13MP primary camera and a 6MP ultrawide lens. It runs on One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13, which happens to be one of the best custom Android skins for tablets and comes with a quad-speaker setup.

Galaxy Tab S8 comes with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage and has a quad-speaker setup tuned by AKG. All of this is powered by an 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

If you are looking for a premium tablet that will last you for at least a few years and don’t mind the LCD screen, the Galaxy Tab S8 is a steal deal with the base variant (8GB+128GB) priced at Rs 48,999 on Amazon without bank offers.

Disclaimer: Amounts projected are based on appropriate discounts and bank offers listed by the e-commerce platforms. Exchange offers are subject to the working condition of the tablet being traded in.
