Day 56: Soto Ayam

You know how some food are categorically breakfast – like eggs. In Malaysia, there is no such thing. You literally eat anything at anytime of the day. It is a norm to have Nasi Lemak (coconut rice) for breakfast.

Today, before heading to work, my mum and I went to have Soto Ayam at a tom yam restaurant in Taman Melawati. Its near the Jabatan Pendaftaran. They serve the best Soto Ayam I have ever tasted. I brought some to work for my colleagues and they absolutely loved it. Soto Ayam is a clear chicken soup dish serves with either rice cubes and/or vermicelli, shredded chicken breast, bean sprouts, and begedil (potato cakes). If you like it spicy, you can add their awesome chilli with garlic and soy sauce paste. Their Soto Ayam is so popular that if you come any later than 10am, there will be non for you. Yes, I had noodle soup for breakfast. Don’t judge! You will love it too if you try it.

Good luck!

Love,

A
