NZXT Vulcan Case Review

The NZXT Vulcan is almost entirely black, except for the amber LEDs in its top 120mm fan and a strip running down the front panel. You can install a 200mm fan in the mesh side panel (shown on the left).

The empty interior of the case. Because the Vulcan maxes out with MicroATX motherboards, there's not a lot of room to work here, but there's enough. The upper hole in the motherboard tray (center) lets you attach a cooler from beneath, if you want, and there's enough room between the drive cages (right) for a full-length video card.

One 120mm fan comes preinstalled on the top of the Vulcan, and you can add a second. Another nice addition: a sturdy, screw-on handle, which makes moving your system from place to place a snap.

The inside floor of the case shows both the removable hard drive cage (right) and the power supply bay, which has a filtered vent beneath it to aid in air circulation.

Pull off the other door of the case, and you'll see that all the front-panel cables and wires are cleanly routed beneath the motherboard tray.
